For one, there’s an emphasis placed upon sailing between the different islands of the game, with players owning their own upgradable boat that is used to navigate the seas. The gameplay of Windbound keeps itself relatively simple as far as survival games are concerned, though it does have some neat ideas thrown in the mix that give it a fresh feel when compared to its peers. Through to its conclusion may want to stick to Storyteller the first time around… Though, Windbound is not an easy game, so players hoping to see the tale These optionsĬater for two very different types of players who are looking for a differentĮxperience from Windbound, so its nice to see that it can be playable asĪ hardcore survival sim or as a typical adventure game. Mechanics, and ‘Storyteller’, which has easier combat, no loss of inventory,Īnd chapter-based checkpoints so you don’t lose your progress. Gives players tougher combat, strict inventory loss upon death, and permadeath It’s worth noting that there are two different ways toĪpproach Windbound via its difficulty settings: as a ‘Survivalist’, which Purpose to keep me fully invested in the adventure. Really liked about the game, with a lot of other survival titles lacking the To following the objectives that are set out for you. Player as to how they approach their journey, but progress is ultimately tied Open and procedurally-generated and there is plenty of freedom given to the Is spread over multiple chapters during its adventure. In design, Windbound gives players an actual goal to work towards that However, whilst a lot of survival games are more open-ended There’s a big emphasis placed on gathering resources, crafting, looking after your own well-being, and unlocking more advanced gear to increase your odds of success – it’s a formula that has been utilised in plenty of other games in the genre over the years, with Windbound not straying too far from the norm as far as its basic concept is concerned. This means? Setting sail on your own boat and navigating across the Forbidden islands,Īll whilst uncovering the many secrets that are hidden upon them.Īt its core, Windbound plays like most other survival games that are available right now. Seeking out a mysterious set of keys as a means to find her way home. The islands to help her endure through the ordeal, she soon finds herself With just her survival instincts and the resources available on I guess treat this game like a smart phone game it is enjoyable to play on survival mode to see how far as you go as much for the story mode part I feel you will get bored of it quickly after you die and start back where you jump force story is a mess but the missions are pretty fun they remind me of Xenoverse missions.Windbound puts players in the role of Kara, a youngĪdventurer who finds herself lost at sea within the Forbidden islands followingĪ shipwreck. I'm looking forward to a Windbound 2 if they fix the first game. They should put this on the apple and play store too to boost the sales. 800mb is bare minimum.,I hope the dev team work on this game and keep updating it because it does have alot of potential and it is a pretty good indie game.

It should be $14.99 instead of $30 because I feel they need to update this game alot. It kinda sucks because I died of starvation but for an indie game it is pretty good.

It is best to play this game on survivor mode where if you die you return back to the start if you play it on the story mode I feel you will never enjoy this game. I played for maybe 30 minutes and so far I will give the game a 5/10 I feel like it is incomplete but I like the game still.
